Britain's Most Remote Hotel

Activities Around Garvault

Highland Persuits at Garvault

Sitting as it does between two of the largest sporting estates in the region The Garvault Hotel is well placed for those wishing to pursue the traditional highland  pastimes of salmon and trout fishing, stalking (with gun or camera) and bird watching.

Heards of wild Red deer roam the area and during the season stalking is easily organised.

The wild brown trout which proliferate the local lochs are famous for their fighting spirit and are guaranteed to provide excellent sport, while the rivers can produce some of the biggest and best quality salmon in the area.

Fishing is predominantly fly but there is a loch on which spinners and worm are allowed.  Bank fishing on certain lochs and burns is free to hotel guests but we can organise all your fishing and boat hire needs and help with bespoke packages.
